Windward System Five's web wireless product is a TCP/IP, browser-based solution which allows portable wireless devices such as the Symbol MC50 or MC70 to: - create fast and easy estimates or work orders while you browse with your client in the store - check stock availability and pricing on inventory - look up customer accounts to verify billing information - count your stock - create and receive purchase orders - serial number support available Workstation requirements: The wireless software option is installed on a workstation running Windward System Five. Recommended workstation operating system is Windows XP. Windows 2000 with a minimum of service pack 2 will also work. The free Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 (22 MB download) must also be installed for operation.
Hardware requirements: An 802.11b,g wireless router or wireless access point is required along with a supported wireless device. Note to existing clients: Your Pervasive database engine needs to be version 8 in order to use this product. You can find your Pervasive version from the help menu and choose about.
